Blumentals/Architecture recently worked with Sherman Associates to convert an abandoned car dealership in North Minneapolis into an educational center. Existing building was a two story masonry shell with cast-in-place concrete and steel structure. Work scope included full building rehabilitation to accommodate new offices, businesses, and a school. Exterior block was repaired and new fiber cement & metal panels wrap the second floor. Interior tenants include Minneapolis Public Schools, Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, and Northpoint Health and Wellness. Tenants share common building resources to encourage awareness of available services.
